Incredible performance by you guys after Colt went down. I am looking forward to have Gilbert lead this team the next few seasons, and was thrilled with the heart that I saw in the second half. So many people will say what could have happened in the second half of the game, but the bottom line is that these guys kept fighting and made it a close game. They could have laid down and just gave up after the injury, and no one would have blamed them for it if they did. Alabama this year was probably one of the best teams this decade, and it was amazing to see a Freshman do well against that incredible defense. Everyone said we didn't deserve to be in the game, but I don't think anyone can say that now. Would have been nice to see the guys win a National Championship, but I don't think anyone can be disappointed at all about the year the Longhorns had this year. It was a heck of a ride, one of my favorite seasons to be a part of. I am proud to be a Texas Longhorns fan today. This team was amazing, and kept it close against an undefeated SEC team despite the fact that they did not have their start Quarterback.

The Texas Longhorns weren't in the top three all year for nothing. Your guys made an amazing comeback in the scond half with a freshman quarterback!  In my opinion Jordan Shipley is the guy that makes the Texas offense click. He is open on nearly every pass play and is probably the best wide receiver in the nation. All he needs is someone to get the ball to him. Colt McCoy getting hurt was unfortunate and probably was the turning point in the game. However, some folks are forgetting that Alabama was playing without one of it's best linebackers, Donte Hightower, who is darned close to being Rolando McClain's equal. Also, Bama's quarterback, Greg McCoy, unknown to everyone, (even the media didn't know) was playing with fractured ribs suffered in the Florida game. That was why our passing game was dead in the water. The difference in the two teams, in my opinion, was the running game. 215 yards against the #1 running defense in the nation is not too shabby. Anyway it was a very exciting game that either team could have one. Congrats to Texas for a most competitive game and maybe we will play again next year.

Also, I wanted to let Texas fans know, Do not take my Glass Jaw thread seriously.... It is to prove a point about idiots that can't just say, " Good Job"  I was total hats off to Texas when they beat USC.... it's just amazing all the people who can't just enjoy sports... but I guess they are not happy unless the are crying about something?

It happens, it's a part of sports. I can imagine it sucked for the Sooners fans earlier this year when Bradford went down. We had a great season and that's what I will take out of this, not that we lost the title game. As for your Tide, it stinks that your National Championship is being tainted by all of the speculation of what could have happened had McCoy not gotten hurt. Looks right now as if Alabama should be clear cut favorites for the title next year too. Who knows? Maybe we'll see a rematch. This sport is weird sometimes.

Hey Horn fans..... I just want to say great game... It is a shame about McCoy, but judging by what I saw last night, texas isn't going anywhere. It's a shame that the win by Alabama is being tarnished by the McCoy debate, but I want to thank those of you who were classy throughout..... I'm sure a rematch is coming soon.... Maybe this time.... there will be no injuries....
